FIELD: prediction methods.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental and analytical methods for predicting the effectiveness of hydrate inhibitors and can be used as an express method in oil-and-gas extraction and processing industries. Method includes the determination of hydrate formation temperatures in a gas-pure water system, freezing of an aqueous solution of a tested inhibitor of an appropriate concentration and calculation of a hydrate formation temperature in the gas-water solution system of the inhibitor. In addition, the same pressure is set for the gas-clean water and gas-aqueous solution of the inhibitor, and at this pressure the temperatures are determined: the equilibrium hydrate formation in the gas-pure water system, crystallization of clean water, the onset of water crystallization in the freezing aqueous solution of the inhibitor, after which the temperature of the onset of hydrate formation in the gas-water solution system of the inhibitor and the criterion of the inhibitor efficiency are calculated by formulas.

EFFECT: accuracy of determining the inhibitor effectiveness increases.
