SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an anchor bolt which is fixed in a bore provided, for example, in a rock wall. Anchor bolt comprises a cylindrical rod having, on its outer circumferential surface, an external thread and spacers disposed on a rod for securing the anchor bolt to the inner peripheral surface of the well. Expandable device has a tapered member and an expandable member fitted over the taper member. Taper member has an internal thread and a plurality of inclined surfaces of an outer peripheral surface of the taper member. Expandable member has a plurality of abutment parts and a bridge connecting tips of the abutment parts with each other. Abutment part has an inner surface which can surface-contact the inclined surface of the taper member. Each inclined surface of the taper member is inclined so as to come closer to the central axis of the taper member toward a base end of the anchor bolt. Tip of the taper member has an upper circumferential surface located near and on the upper side of the inclined surface and consists of a vertical surface along the central axis of the taper member. When the taper member moves toward the end of the wellbore, the inclined surface of the tapered member is pressed against the inner surface of the abutment portion and the outer circumferential surface of the abutment portion is pressed against the inner peripheral surface of the well. Part of the inner surface of the abutment portion is closer to the top of the anchor bolt than the inclined surface of the tapered member.

EFFECT: reliability of fixing the anchor bolt is increased.
