SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for cleaning a fluid and to a filter apparatus with mechanisms for simple filter maintenance and replacement. Fluid filtering apparatus comprises a housing having at least one inlet and at least one outlet and a slide mechanism which is movably arranged in the housing and has at least one passage having at least two filters lying substantially symmetrically opposite each other, wherein starting from the inlet of the housing the fluid flows symmetrically onto the filters in the passage and downstream of the filters in the passage is directed to the outlet of the housing, wherein a part of the fluid that does not flow through the passage forms a hydrodynamic buffer in a gap between the slide mechanism and the housing, wherein the passage opens out into at least two symmetrically opposite sub-channels of the outlet and at least four flushing flows are generated in the gap between at least two inlet mouths and at least two outlet mouths of the passage.

EFFECT: invention provides a prevention of the formation of corrosive deposits in the gap, a maximally constant gap width, uniform hydraulic resistance and uniformly distributed flow velocity in the entire gap.
