FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of pellet powder (PP) for small-arms weapons and small-caliber artillery in close combat. Method for production of high-density PP includes the preparation of a powder lacquer with stirring in an aqueous medium of 1.8–2.5 parts by weight of ethyl acetate and pyroxylin with a viscosity of not more than 4°E or its mixtures with recyclable-technological waste, dispersion of powder lacquer into spherical particles, dehydration of 2.5–6.0 % weight of sodium sulfate. Preparation of the powder lacquer is carried out using a powder mass containing 15–30 % by weight of nitroglycerin, and after dispersing the powder lacquer into spherical particles, sodium sulfate is administered in portions 3 times every 10–15 minutes in equal mass fractions of the total amount, after the last portion is introduced, the mixture is stirred for 10–15 min, heated to a temperature of 72–75 °C and held for 35–40 minutes, then raise the temperature to 84–86 °C, hold for 35–40 minutes, raise the temperature to 96–98 °C and hold the resulting suspension for 20–25 minutes. Modes of solvent formation and distillation ensure the production of granules of fraction 1.0–1.6 mm with a bulk density of not less than 1.04 g/cm3.
