Method for producing nitrile group-containing copolymer rubber which has a hydroxyl group comprises conducting a metathesis reaction of a crude copolymer rubber, comprising nitrile groups, prior to the metathesis reaction in the presence of a chain transfer agent, having a double bond and a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group, or in the presence of a chain transfer agent having two or more double bonds.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a copolymer rubber having excellent crosslinking properties.
