FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for sharpening of blades used in cutting machines, in particular for the paper rolls production. Device contains two grinding wheels, each of which is located on the blade cutting edge corresponding side. Provided are means for the cutting edge symmetry controlling and having a sensor located at a predetermined distance from the cutting edge corresponding side. Sensor is configured to determine the possible values of the differences (d) between the lengths (n, p) of the cutting edge two sides and is connected to a programmable block processing the determined by the sensor differences of these values.
EFFECT: as a result, the device design is simplified and the products crosscutting quality is increased.
