FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the investigation field of the kinetics of structural and phase transformations in metals. Method for determining the specific thermal effect of phase transformation is claimed, including the recording of cooling curves, cooling to room temperatures, and determining their phase composition. In this case, a temperature-uniform sample is used, which is cooled by a heat carrier which is uniform in temperature and movement speed, in the cooled sample, the volume fraction of the required phase is determined, a cooling curve for analysis is chosen, the realization of which ensures obtaining the required fraction of this phase, and the deviation value of the specific thermal effect of the phase transformation is judged from the magnitude of the deviation of the cooling curve from the exponential curve.
EFFECT: increase the determination accuracy of the required parameter.
