SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of reducing noise in industrial and transport facilities. Sound absorber with cylindrical resonator contains sound absorbers of active and reactive types, placed on the rigid frame, at that, the frame is made of two parts, at that, the lower reactive part is made as the cylinder-conic shaped rigid hollow structure with cavity, and the upper, active part is made in the form of a rigid perforated cylindrical shell with a perforated cover and a solid base, wherein the cylindrical shell cavity is filled with sound-absorbing material, wherein the frame reactive part cavity is connected to holes of different diameters, performing the Helmholtz resonator necks functions, at that, the holes are located in the cover, base and on the hollow cylinder side surface, cylindrical shaped hollow frame lower reactive part internal walls are made rigid, and external are perforated, at that, the space between them is filled with sound absorber, around the perforated cylindrical shell at least one helical-type sound absorbing element is located, at that, as the sound-absorbing material plates from the mineral wool are used, wherein the sound absorbing element over its entire surface is lined with an acoustically transparent material.

EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the efficiency of noise attenuation at high frequencies by introducing into a unit acoustic absorber of cavities for Helmholtz resonators that increase efficiency at high frequencies.
