FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Single piece spherical sound absorber contains sound absorbers of active and reactive types. Frame is made of two parts. Lower reactive part is made in form of spherical structure with internal congruent spherical resonant cavity. Rigid solid spherical shell is equidistant to the connected to the active upper part outer perforated spherical shell. Cylindrical shell cavity is filled with the sound-absorbing material. Sound absorber upper and lower parts connection is made by means of resilient damping element. Element is hinged to the perforated cylindrical shell perforated cover. Frame reactive part spherical resonance cavity is rigidly connected by one bushing with axial bore acting as the Helmholtz resonator neck. Space between them is filled with the sound absorber. Helical sound-absorbing element is made in form of enclosing the shell cylindrical coil spring.
EFFECT: enabling increase in the noise suppression efficiency at high frequencies.
