SUBSTANCE: invention relates to creating visual effects. Method of creating a stable and long-lasting artistic visual effect of diffuse glow of the surface of an art-architectural object under the influence of external exciting UV-A (365–385 nm) and/or IR-A (760–1,000 nm) radiation involves the deposition of several optically transparent polymer layers, composition of layer/layers adjacent to the surface includes an optically transparent polymer base containing organic and/or inorganic phosphors/luminophores having a positive Stokes shift fluorescence up to 100 nm, and/or with an abnormally large Stokes shift, greater than 100 nm, and/or luminophores having anti-Stokes fluorescence, i.e. with fluorescence under the influence of IR-A (760–1000 nm) – infrared radiation, as well as light stabilizers HALS (HALS – hindered amine light stabilizer) inhibitors/scavengers (sterically hindered amine light stabilizers). Following optically transparent layers include optically transparent polymers containing UV absorber protective additives that are selected from the group consisting of substituted benzophenones, salicylic acid esters, citric acid esters, oxalanilides, benzoxazinones, hydroxyphenylbenzotriazoles, triazines and benzylidenemalonate, protecting the phosphor-containing layer from the degrading effect of the external solar ultraviolet.
EFFECT: creation of a coating that does not change appearance of the surface of the object under natural and artificial lighting and having a persistent and stable visual effect of fluorescent glow under the influence of external exciting ultraviolet UV-A (365–380 nm) and/or infrared – IR-A (760–1,000 nm) radiation.
