FIELD: monitoring systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nondestructive testing and relates to a method for detecting impact damage to a structure. Method includes application of a luminescent coating to the surface that is luminescent in the visible spectral range under the influence of UV radiation, inspection of the coating when the structure is irradiated with UV radiation, and detection of the impact damage due to color differences. Luminescent coating is multilayered and contains an indicator layer with a luminescent material and a protective layer with a working component that absorbs UV radiation. To create an indicator layer, a solution of a binder based on organosilicon block copolymers in toluene is used with the addition of a phosphor, which is a europium pivalate complex with heterocyclic diimine in an amount of up to 1.4 % by weight with respect to the binder. Protective layer is prepared by spraying a solution of a silicone-block copolymer-based binder in toluene with the addition of a working component β-diketone of dibenzoylmethane with a concentration of 2÷6⋅10-2 mol/l.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplifying the method and increasing the efficiency, accuracy and reliability of detecting nearly invisible impact damages.
