SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmaceutical industry and is a pharmaceutical composition for prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis, containing red yeast rice extract with a content of monocalin K of at least 4.5 % by weight, microencapsulated omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids derived from fish, in form of a powder, and in addition a powder of the skin of wild blueberry, magnesium citrate and anti-blocking agent, the components in the composition being in a certain ratio, in mass %.
EFFECT: invention provides effective reduction of cholesterol level, improvement of the condition of blood vessels and is suitable for monotherapy of atherosclerosis.
