FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to gastroenterology, and concerns the procedure for preparing the intestine for capsular endoscopy for the examination of the gastrointestinal tract. For this, the use of a sulphate composition for preparing a patient for capsular endoscopy, which is administered orally before and together, before and after or together and after the introduction of a capsular endoscope in an amount effective to clear the patient's gastrointestinal tract from its contents and to shorten the passage time of the capsule. In this case the sulphate composition contains an inorganic salt selected from the group consisting of sodium sulphate, potassium sulphate and magnesium sulphate, and does not contain a phosphate salt. Method for investigating the internal space of the gastrointestinal tract of a patient by means of capsular endoscopy with said application of the sulphate composition is also proposed. Method for determining the source, type, location and cause of gastrointestinal pathology in a patient also includes the use of the above sulphate composition.
EFFECT: inventions ensure acceleration of passage of the capsular endoscope during the examination of the gastrointestinal tract.
