FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical industry and can be used for processing optical materials. Polishing suspension contains an aqueous suspension of a polishing powder – polyrite, polyoxyalkylene glycol as a defoaming additive and zinc sulphate heptahydrate, which reduces the duration of treating optical blanks, with the following component ratio, wt%: zinc sulphate 0.5; polyoxyalkylene glycol 0.01–0.03; aqueous suspension of the polishing powder in the form of a 10 % suspension with a density of 1.02–1.04 g/cm3 – the balance.
EFFECT: reducing polishing time of optical blanks.
