FIELD: polishing product.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to production of polishing compositions for treating the surfaces of optical parts made of germanium crystal. A suspension for polishing germanium crystals is proposed, containing in wt.%: 3-5 cerium oxide, 45-55 aluminum oxide, 2-3 ferric oxide and the rest is water.
EFFECT: high quality of the processed surface and reduction of the total time for polishing germanium crystals when using the proposed suspension.
