SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system, a method, a device and a computer program for detecting and monitoring medium flow, including gas flow, liquid flow, aerosol flow. Electronic cigarette comprises a body, an atomiser within the body, a microcontroller, a power supply within the body and electrically connected to the microcontroller and the atomiser, and a mass air flow sensor, comprising a plurality of thermocouples and a heater, wherein the mass air flow sensor is electrically connected to the microcontroller. Electronic cigarette comprises a first housing and a second housing; an atomiser within the first housing; a microcontroller within the second housing, comprising a data acquisition circuit and an analogue-to-digital converter, a power supply within the second housing and configured to be electrically connected to the microcontroller and the atomiser, and a flow sensor, comprising a plurality of thermocouples and a heater, wherein the flow sensor is electrically connected to the microcontroller, the first housing being adapted to be connected to the second housing.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the need for a sensor capable of sensing a user's draw, while still having small dimensions and low power consumption.
