FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for the non-oxidative conversion of methane in an ideal mixing reactor comprising the activation of methane on an aluminum platinum catalyst at T 20–550 °C, followed by n-pentane. Process is characterized that the pentane feed temperature is 480–550 °C, and the aluminum-platinum catalyst contains ZrO2 at the following component content, mass%: Pt 0.3–0.6, ZrO2 0.4–1.0, Cl 0.9–1.1, Al2O3 – the rest.
EFFECT: increase in the yield of the target products, namely aromatic hydrocarbons, and the selectivity of the process for the target products.
