SUBSTANCE: invention disclosed herein generally relates to an image forming device, such as a copying device, a printing device, a facsimile device and a multifunction peripheral device including a copying device, a printing device and a facsimile device. Declared image forming device includes: an image forming unit configured to generate an image on a recording medium, a body of an image forming device configured to receive an image forming unit and including a protruding member, in which a part of the side surface of the body of the image forming device protrudes more than the other part of the side surface, a powder container configured to contain a powder to be supplied to the image forming unit, wherein at least a portion of the powder container is disposed in the protruding member and a recording media placement unit configured to switch between the pushed state, in which the recording media placement unit is disposed along the protruding member, and a usage state in which the recording media supply unit is configured to extend from the protruding member and configured to receive the recording medium, which is to be supplied to the imaging unit, the protruding member being located above the recording media placement unit.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a container with a powder that is housed in a protruding member configured by protruding a portion of the side surface of the body of the image forming device; the space for containing the powder is provided sufficiently, without limitation, in the form of the body of the image forming device, and the capacity for containing the powder increases.
