FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: direct current switchgear (1) comprises at least one electrical input (2) and at least one electrical output (3), at least one first switching contact (4), second switching contact (5), mobile jumper (20) and arc extinguishing assembly (6). Current path from input (2) to output (3) is electrically conductive when first switching contact (4) and second switching contact (5) are conductively connected by means of mobile jumper (20). Arc extinguishing assembly (6) comprises first arc extinguishing chamber (7) and second arc extinguishing chamber (8), comprising a plurality of planar electrodes (9) arranged in parallel to each other. First arc extinguishing chamber (7) is provided for first switching contact (4), and second arc extinguishing chamber (8) is provided for second switching contact (5). DC switchgear (1) is provided with a magnetic system (10) with at least one permanent magnet (13) and second permanent magnet (14).
