ELECTRIC SWITCHING DEVICE WITH IMPROVED ARCING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC H01H9/34

Abstract RU 2663880 C2

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an electrical switching device, in particular a direct current contactor. Switching device has at least one switching point to which at least one arcing device corresponds. Arcing device comprises at least one quenching element and at least one permanent magnet to act on the arc generated during the commutation process. Magnetic field created by a permanent magnet ensures that the arc is blown into the extinguishing element. Quenching element is formed by at least one permanent magnet, the location and polarization of which at the same time ensure attraction of the arc with its subsequent suction and quenching by a permanent magnet.

EFFECT: increased switching capacity of the electrical apparatus.
