FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a wireless communication technique and can be used to generate a synchronization signal for communication between devices (D2D). Transmitter (110) and a method therein, configured for generating a synchronization signal for Device-to-Device (D2D) communication utilizing a Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiplexing Access (SC-FDMA) waveform, wherein a synchronization sequence is modulating a set of subcarriers. Transmitter (110) comprises: processor (520), configured for determining a synchronization sequence du[l] where |du[l]| = |du[L – 1 – l], l = 0,1,…,L – 1 and |du[l]| = K, for a positive constant K wherein u is a root index and L is the length of the synchronization sequence du[l]; and also configured for selecting the root index u from a set of root indices; and in addition configured for generating the synchronization signal, based on the determined synchronization sequence du[l] and the selected root index u, wherein processor (520) is configured with the possibility of converting the synchronization sequence into resource elements of the SC-FDMA signal form, that for the Fourier coefficients |H[k]| = |H[N – 1 – k]|, k = 0,1,…,N – 1, where N is an integer not less than L, and H [k] is the Fourier coefficient at the frequency k. In addition, receiver (120) configured to detect the received synchronization signal for the D2D communication using the SC-FDMA signal form is disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result is the reduction of interference with other synchronization signals when a synchronization signal is received.
