FIELD: electrical communication engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used to select a synchronization source from among different synchronization sources, which include sources which determine a synchronization signal from a network, such as base stations, network nodes or user equipment. For this purpose, user equipment receives a synchronization signal possibly through other transit sections from a base station and further includes sources which do not determine their synchronization signal from the network. Source of synchronization is selected by selecting the source with the most reliable synchronization signal based on the value calculated for each of the considered sources. In particular, the indicator is based on the type of source, the number of transit sections between the network and the source and/or quality of the received signal. After the selection of the source of clocking devices being adapted accordingly.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improved bandwidth.
