SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a stand for supporting a garment hanger. Stand for supporting a garment hanger, comprising supporting element and a clamp. Clamp comprises a body and a clamping element configured to move relative to the body. First and second clamping surfaces are arranged to be spaced apart from each other in an open position and closer to each other in a closed position. Support element is located between the first and second clamping surfaces. Clamp is operable to releasably support, between the open position and the closed position, the garment hanger in a fixed orientation on the support element between the first and second clamping surfaces to prevent the garment hanger from turning on the support element or moving the garment hanger from the support element, in response to hanging the garment hanger on the support element between the first and second clamping surfaces in the open position and subsequent continuously adjustable movement of the first and second clamping surfaces closer to each other, until the garment hanger is clamped in a fixed orientation on the support element between the first and second clamping surfaces in the closed position.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the reliability of fixing the garment hanger during steaming.
