FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical technology of fibrous materials and relates to a thermobonded bicomponent fiber with excellent softness and a nonwoven material in which it is used. Fiber contains the first component, containing a polyester-based resin, and the second component, containing a polyolefin-based resin, melting point of which is lower than the melting point of said polyester-based resin, wherein said second component is a heat-bondable conjugate fiber occupies a certain part of the outer fiber circumference in the fiber and the bicomponent fiber has a "side by side" structure or an eccentric core-shell structure, and the fiber has an elongation of 50-120%, three-dimensional actualized crimp with 10-20 crests per inch and a crimp module of 85 to 100%.
EFFECT: invention provides for the creation of a heat-sealable bicomponent fiber providing the configuration stability of the crimped structure even under conditions of residual fiber extension and imparting bulk and softness to the nonwoven material.
