FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for partial compensation of the axial force acting on the water-cooled reactor installations primary circuit main circulating pump units axial bearing, ensuring the pump motor start at full pressure in the circuit, and also to ensure the axial bearing favorable operation conditions at rated load. In the electromagnetic relief device, the discharge disc is made up of two parts, first of which, located above the magnet body poles, is made of magnetic carbon steel, and the second remaining part is made of non-magnetic austenitic steel.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce metal consumption due to the device dimensions reduction, to increase the electromagnet traction force due to reduction of the leakage magnetic fluxes closing through the pump shaft, to ensure the water-cooled electromagnet long and reliable operation with elimination of the water ingress onto its winding.
