FIELD: electrical engineering; pump building.

SUBSTANCE: magnetic core of an inductor (MCI) of a cylindrical linear induction pump (CLIP) contains a cylindrical pump housing (CPH). Also, inductors with MCI and inductance coils are linearly located on the surface of the CPH and coaxially located inside CPH with formation of annular working channel core with core magnetic conductors located inside it. MCI is made in the form of a set of E-shaped parallel relative to each other plates of charge from electrical steel of variable height. Height of the E-like plates of the mixture is selected so that the inner profile of the cross-sections of the sets of E-like plates of the mixture is an approximated arc of a circle, which is concentric and proportional to the outer surface of the CPH.

EFFECT: improvement of efficiency and reliability of pump operation by reduction of its power consumption, increase of head and flow rate of pumped liquid molten metal with simultaneous increase of its strength, reliability and durability of operation.
