SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical and pharmaceutical industry and is a method of manufacturing a biodegradable implant comprising synthesis of biodegradable polymeric material such as L-lactide / glycolide copolymer, and its extrusion molding, the extrusion being carried out at a temperature of 220–230 °C, with an exposure in an extruder of 10–20 minutes, and after extrusion, an uniaxial orientation stretching is carried out at temperature in the range between the melting point and the glass transition temperature of the polymer material.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to provide high-strength self-reinforced implant based on biodegradable polymers without the use of fillers and to increase strength of implant under shearing and bending loads.
