FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to versions of a mixture of absorbable polymers, use thereof to produce a medical device and methods of producing medical devices from said mixtures. Disclosed mixtures include at least 50 wt. % of a first polymer, such as polylactide or a lactide/glycolide copolymer (in which 70 mol. % or more of lactide and 30 mol. % or less of glycolide), and not more than 50 wt. % of a second polymer, such as a copolymer of p-dioxanone and glycolide (in which 90–95 mol. % or 90–99 mol. % of p-dioxanone and respectively 5–10 mol. % or 1–10 mol. % glycolide), wherein minimum amount of second polymer in mixture depends on molar amount of polymerised lactide in first polymer and is calculated by formula "weight ratio of copolymer of p-dioxanone and glycolide = (215.6212/mol percentage of polymerised lactide)2.7027". Depending on the version of the mixture, the first or second polymer is made using a mixture of a mono- and difunctional polymerisation initiator.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides higher rate of crystallization of polymer mixture and stability of dimensions of medical device.
