Protective element comprises a housing component and an impact component. Housing component is embedded into the outer shell. Impact component is mounted to the housing component, is configured to be enclosed partially by the housing component, and is configured to protrude laterally from the outer shell in a direction facing away from the seating area.
EFFECT: improved side collision protection of a person sitting in a child safety seat.
