SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a child safety seat and a base unit for the functional attachment of a child safety seat to a vehicle seat. The child safety seat contains: a case and a supporting frame. The case is made with the possibility of placing and fixing a child in it. The case contains: a supporting frame, an upper part, a base, side parts and rods. Side parts are fabric or mesh. The supporting frame forms a seat and a back of the child safety seat. The supporting frame contains a lattice structure supporting the upper part and the base. Side parts cover the supporting frame. The base unit contains: a locking unit and a belt tension unit. The locking unit contains latches. The locking unit is made with the possibility of receiving and fixing the case of the child safety seat in a variety of positions facing backwards relatively to the base unit. Latches are made with the possibility of selective reception of rods of the seat case. The belt tension unit is made with the possibility of receiving a vehicle belt for attaching the base unit to the seat of the vehicle with tension.

EFFECT: increase in the safety of using a child seat is achieved.
