SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to chemical and pharmaceutical industry and is a composition for lowering the level of total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL cholesterol and glucose in the blood, comprising: Cynara sp. extract having a caffeoylquinic acid content ranging from 30 to 45% by weight, a flavonoid content ranging from 8 to 16% by weight and a cynaropicrin content ranging from 10 to 18% by weight; Coffea spp. extract containing between 40% and 80% by weight of caffeoylquinic acids; Olea europaea extract containing between 30% and 40% by weight of polyphenols, with a verbascoside content exceeding 5% and a hydroxytyrosol content exceeding 1.5% by weight, wherein the amounts of Cynara extract, Coffea arabica extract and Olea europaea extract range from 100 to 300 mg. Also, the claimed group of inventions comprises a pharmaceutical composition for lowering the level of total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL cholesterol and glucose in blood, comprising as active ingredient the composition, in admixture with a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient or carrier.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows to obtain a composition with a combination of active agents possessing a greater activity than that of the individual components.
