Supplemental device for attachment to an injection device comprises a display, a processor arrangement, a dose dialled detector, dose delivery determiner, a quantity determiner, medicament determiner, and a clock configured to determine a current time. Dose dialled detector is operable to detect a dose of medicament dialled into an attached injection device. Dose delivery determiner is operable to determine that a dose of medicament has been delivered. Quantity determiner determines a quantity of medicament that has been delivered. Medicament determiner is configured to determine a medicament identify located in an attached injection device. Processor arrangement is configured display continually a quantity of medicament that was delivered since a last dose and to display intermittently a time elapsed since delivery of the last dose, and an identify of the medicament delivered in the last dose. Processor arrangement is configured to respond to a dose being unfully delivered by transitioning to a delivered partial dose mode and to cause display of a delivered dose. Dose delivered is equal to the dose that was dialled in an attached injection device minus the remaining dose. Processor arrangement is configured to cause display of a virtual button on the touch-sensitive display. Display indicates an action that the processor arrangement is configured to implement in response to receiving a user input at the virtual button.

EFFECT: user is provided with correct information on the dose, even if the dose was not delivered.
