FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation, automation and measurement systems and can be used in the course of a full-scale experiment as a sensor for high-speed dust particles on board a spacecraft. Essence of the invention is that the device for measuring the spatial density of micrometeoroids and space debris particles contains a target made in the form of a disk of transparent material mounted on the axis of the engine, from the outer and inner sides of the disk are located subsequently laser and CCD matrix, which are fixed on a mobile platform, driven along the rails by means of a stepper motor, where the motors are connected to the engine control module, and the CCD sensor and the motor control module are connected to a microcontroller controlling the operation of the entire device and exchanging from the on-board computer of the spacecraft.

EFFECT: technical result is the determination of the characteristics of the flow of micrometeoroids and debris particles by changes in the characteristics of optical targets.
