FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to joints of a skin structure and relates to a butt joint for interconnection of adjacent parts of the skin structure of the fuselage sections of an aircraft. Element of the butt joint of skin structures comprises a first panel, having a first edge, a second panel having a second edge. Second edge is aligned along the end face with the first edge to form a butt joint, and the screed attached to the first and second panels, overlaps the butt joint. Also, the butt joint element comprises first and second fastening means having an inclined portion and a flat portion.
EFFECT: improvement in aerodynamic characteristics of the outer surface of the skin is achieved.
