FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining and can be used in the open development of upland quarries. Method involves dumping of rocks with tiers from the bottom up, storage in tiers by rock dumping horizontally with a shift of the tiers relative to each other vertically at a level corresponding to the minimum distance of transportation of rocks along the horizons of the height-separated strata of each layer with the formation of the main dump beyond the boundaries of the quarry and a stepwise internal dump to create an vehicular exit from the quarry. In this case, beforehand, along the normal line to the slope, capital exit trench with a reverse bias is made adjacent to the site on the lower part of the quarry side. After dumping of the first tier of the outer dump, the bottom of the trench is covered up to a horizontal elevation and the next tier of the dump is formed, the inner dump is dumped to the bottom of the trench at an angle that ensures that the elevation is above the horizontal dump to the height of the next dump tier, and the operations are then repeated.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the storage of rocks on the slopes by reducing the distance of transportation of overburden during the mining of upland quarries and, as a consequence, decrease in cargo turnover and decrease in the number of vehicles used.
