FIELD: mining industry; applicable in opencast mining of highland deposits. SUBSTANCE: method includes storing of rocks into tiers by filling over horizontal, and displacement of tiers relative to one another by vertical. Working platforms of tiers on slope are formed from bottom upward, and they are located one after another. Filling is carried out in dump extension from atop within platform of several stages of storing with gradual reexcavation and performance of rock filling over horizontal with formation of main dump beyond opencast boundaries. Intermediate dumps in opencast contour are formed in the form of transportation strips expanding to opencast boundary, and when mining operations approach, they are gradually reexcavated with formation of exit from opencast by adjoining to horizontal part of road beyond opencast boundary. Rocks are stored into tiers in transition from one year season to the other and during liquid precipitation by formation of buffer from rocks between filling layers of different seasons and slope surface.
