SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to software control systems. Method and apparatus for identifying the category of an electronic device on an intelligent socket comprises acquiring a target electrified state parameter of a target electronic device connected to an intelligent socket in an electrified state, identifying a target category of the target electronic device according to the target electrified state parameter and outputting the target category. Parameter of the target electrified state is at least one of the following parameters: the finite-time-inclusion parameter and the finite-duration parameter of operation. In this case, the target category corresponding to the target electrified state parameter is identified based on the final correspondence table containing the correspondences between the electrified state parameters and the corresponding types of electronic devices. Also devices for identification of type of the electronic device connected to an intellectual socket are declared.
EFFECT: technical result is increased accuracy of identifying the type of electronic device.
