FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of military equipment and can be used in the design of various weapons, including in the military part of missiles, high explosive fragmentation bombs, artillery shells and mines. Fragmentation warhead of an ammunition consists of a bursting charge and a fragmentation shell. Shell is made by a spiral coiling – a spring on a thin-walled profiled metal substrate of the rod. Preliminarily, narrow zones of local shear deformation are deposited on the rod. Step of zones of shear deformation of the spring is variable in the axial direction. System of narrow longitudinal welded seams is made along the generatrix on the outer surface of the wound rod.
EFFECT: increase in the effectiveness of target damage is achieved by optimizing the fractional composition of the field of fragments of the shell of the munition.
