FIELD: steam generation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and can be used in steam boilers. Method and system for monitoring mass changes of heat exchanger bank (10, 11, 12) of a steam boiler consists in that heat exchanger bank (10, 11, 12) is supported by hanger rods (13) and support beams (14) to frame beams (15) of steam boiler. According to the method, walls (22) of support beams (14) are provided with strain gauges (17) for measuring changes in the strain state generated in support beams (14) by the mass of heat exchanger bank (10, 11, 12). System comprises plurality of strain gauges (17) fixed to walls (22) of support beams (14), for measuring changes in the strain state generated in support beam (14) by the mass of heat exchanger bank (10, 11, 12), data logging means for logging the measurement data and a computer or a corresponding calculation unit for processing the measurement data.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the efficiency of heat exchangers.
