SUBSTANCE: steam or other fluid medium flow control in the pipe during parts of cooling strokes is performed on the basis of temperature measurements of pipe wall by means of temperature measuring system. There can be used infrared or thermocouple temperature measuring system. Steam or other fluid medium can be supplied with flow by default, which can be almost zero until temperature measuring system shows that temperature of annular tube wall starts exceeding the specified temperature limit which can be represented with softening temperature of annular wall. Then, steam or other fluid medium flow is increased to value above default value.
EFFECT: steam flow control system allows minimising steam amount required for cleaning of heat transfer surfaces.
