SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a nucleic acid agent, a nucleic acid construct, a composition swallowed by a bee, and a method for prevention or treatment. Isolated nucleic acid agent comprises a nucleic acid sequence complementary to a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 95, 97, 98, 101, 103 and 106. Construct and composition swallowed by a bee comprise said nucleic acid agent. Present method comprises providing a bee from the hive with a composition comprising an effective amount of said nucleic acid agent.
EFFECT: inventions provides the prevention and treatment of hive infection by the mite Varroa destructor.
