FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for inhibiting side processes occurring in extractive rectification of C4-hydrocarbon mixtures using acetonitrile. Process is carried out in the presence of a nitrogen-containing molecular entity. As a nitrogen-containing molecular entity, a mixture of piperazine, triethanolamine and sodium nitrite in a weight ratio 1–2.5:1–3:0.5–1, which is dosed into an aqueous solution of acetonitrile circulating in the system at a rate of 0.1–0.2 % by weight of the water content in acetonitrile.
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to suppress side processes occurring during extractive rectification of C4-hydrocarbon mixtures, such as the hydrolysis of acetonitrile, corrosion of equipment and polymerization of diene hydrocarbons, and can find application in petrochemical industry in production of diene hydrocarbons.
