FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device and method for rapidly treating a volatile organic exhaust gas. Device comprises a pretreatment device used to eliminate acidity, alkalinity and dust, a microwave reactor and an absorption device connected in series by a gas feed pipe and an air pump, an online volatile organic compound detector and a gas flow meter located on the gas supply pipe. Microwave reactor includes a combination of cylinders and a combination of a magnetron and a waveguide tube to which a combination of cylinders is connected, magnetron being connected to a waveguide tube which is connected to an outer cylinder. Combination of cylinders comprises a rigidly connected inner cylinder, which is a permeable ceramic tube, and an outer cylinder, which is a stainless steel cylinder with a smooth polished inner surface. Inside the inner cylinder there is a filler layer, and between the inner and outer cylinders is provided a layer of insulating aluminosilicate wool to maintain the temperature of the cavity. At the top and bottom ends of the outer cylinder is an aluminum film to prevent leakage of microwave radiation. In this case gas supply pipe outside of the online detector communicates with the lower inlet for the gas of the inner cylinder, the upper outlet of which is in fluid communication with the gas inlet of the absorption device.
EFFECT: invention provides for rapid processing of volatile organic exhaust gas with high efficiency, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness and simplicity of the device design.
