FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, namely to the management of a hard-to-break roof during the mining of coal seams by mechanized cleaning faces. Method for efficient management of a hard-to-break roof in mechanized faces includes drilling wells with cutting in them initiating slots, sealing them and forming directed fractures of hydraulic fracturing of the roofing mass by injecting a liquid under them. Along the mechanized clearing face, vertical and inclined wells are drilled. Inclined wells are drilled in the direction opposite to the motion of the mechanized extraction face.
EFFECT: use of the claimed method will significantly improve safety and efficiency of the work in mechanized faces at the expense of timely planting the roof following the movement of the mechanized extraction face.
