METHOD OF LIQUIDATION OF LEAKAGE OF CASING PIPES IN A WELL AND PIPES OF UNDERGROUND PIPELINE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC E21B29/10 

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry and can be used for repair and insulation work in wells, as well as in underground pipelines. Method includes pipes inspection with detection of the leak interval, installation of a sealing device arranged on the surface with the possibility of overlapping leakage of pipes of the sealing device, descent and placement of the sealing device in the interval of leakage with subsequent sealing of pipes leakage. As an encapsulating device, an inner insert is used in the form of a steel pipe which is designed to freely flow inside the pipes and to block leakage, on the outer surface of the ends of which in the circumferences, at a distance exceeding the size of leakage, fixed charges with igniting devices connected to a source of current on the surface. Sealing of pipes leakage is carried out by initiating burning of thermal charges and fixing the inner insert on the inner surface of a non-hermetic pipe section by annular thermite welding.

EFFECT: increased exploitational reliability, maintained repairability.
