FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the construction and operation of the roadbed of roads and railways and can be used for surface drainage, as well as in reclamation construction for water passage in open water distribution systems. In the method, the device for protecting the drainage structure from sediment contains trays, the bottom of which has a drop between the trays, they are separated by a wall in which the holes are made. This device is made in the form of a well with a discharge pipe installed below the bottom of the trays. Also, the well is provided with a flat protective water permeable grate placed on the level of the bottom of the inlet and outlet trays. In the center of the flat protective water-permeable grating, an aperture overlapped from above by a flow divider with a concave sidewall of the fairings attached to a dome-shaped metal grid is formed, and the lower ends attach to a flat protective water-permeable grate with a pointed sharp end towards the feeder tray.
EFFECT: ensuring effective control of deposits and floating debris and reducing the manual costs for cleaning them.
