FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering and can be used for the water stream extinguishing downstream the pressure water lines in a receiving well. Water flow damper comprises water conduit 1, vertical part of which is interconnected with well with damping chamber, which in end vertical expansion has shape of sphere 2 with convexity upwards. In the cavity of the well in its middle part coaxially to outlet hole 4 of the vertical part of water conduit 1 there is flow divider 3, which is connected to the inner vertically fixed curvilinear wall 5 with circular end 6 directed towards hole 4. Between the outer surface of curved wall 5 and the side wall of the well, discharge channel 11 is formed, the outlet opening of which is connected to the damping chamber through water-permeable grid 12 fixed vertically with a bend, installed parallel to channel 11 bend and fixed by one end to upper part of curved wall 5, and to dome of sphere 2 by the other end.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of efficiency of flow damping.
