FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to cast iron compositions. Can be used for the manufacture of thermal units parts. Cast iron contains, wt. %: carbon 3.2–4.5; silicon 1.2–1.8; manganese 1.7–2.6; cerium 2.2–2.4; praseodymium 2.2–2.4; aluminium 4.5–6.5; rest is iron.
EFFECT: cast iron has a high thermal resistance.
