SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel supply systems for internal combustion engines (ICE). Filter element having a vertical tube assembly with an element of vertical tube 44 that extends upward from base 42 having projections 62 and recessed 64 portions and a filter element assembly including a ring of filter medium 72 is provided, first end cap 80, second end cap 90 and a support rod disposed in the central cavity of the filter media ring. Filter element also has an annular elastic sealing device 150 with a collar formed on the inner surface of sealing device 150 which wave-wise flexes axially backwards and forwards to align with undulating upper surface 60 of base 42.
EFFECT: wave-like bead provides a liquid-tight seal while limiting the relative rotation of the filter element and the base.
