FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the headlight of a vehicle. Headlight assembly of the motor vehicle is mounted on the front corner of the motor vehicle between the wing side panel and the front body panel and has a front and rear parts. Headlamp assembly includes a front mount, a rear mount and a tether cable. Front mount is attached to the front structure of the vehicle. Rear mount is attached to the rear structure of the vehicle and is located behind the front structure. Tether cable has a first end attached to the rear of the headlamp assembly and a second end attached to the motor vehicle closer to the rear structure, whereby the rear portion of the headlamp assembly is substantially limited from being moved back, up and out during the frontal impact event displacement at a speed of 15 km/h or less.
EFFECT: limiting the movement of the headlamp assembly and reducing the interaction of the headlamp assembly with surrounding components is achieved, thereby reducing damage to the wing and body in the case of a frontal impact at low speed.
